Artist Biography

Allen Dean Cochran studied under two distinguished members of the National Academy: Kenyon Cox, a fellow Ohio-native; followed by Birge Harrison, a famous painter and resident of his adopted home in Woodstock, New York. Cochran joined Harrison’s Woodstock Artists Association, and his emergent style became reflective of the Tonalist Arts and Crafts movements embraced by Harrison. His work can be found in the permanent collection of the Woodstock Artists Association.
